LMX Item Creator | Create FiveM Items In-Game | ALL Inventories | Consumables, Shops & Crafting
Create every item on your server in game, with the inventory you already run. Icons, props, effects, shops and crafting in one editor. Test it on yourself, publish, and see what the change costs before anything moves.
π On ox_inventory you install the item loader once. LMX installs it for you when it may write into ox_inventory. Otherwise Setup shows the 12 lines to paste.
[[ frameworks : esx, qbcore, qbox, standalone ]] [[ version : 1.0.0 ]]

β Works with your server
Frameworks: Qbox Β· QBCore Β· ESX Β· ND Core Β· ox_core, or standalone. A framework adds jobs, money, admin groups, and hunger, thirst and stress. On ox_core: hunger and thirst only, and shops on the LMX screen charge an item, not cash or bank.
20 inventories. Tested in game: ox_inventory Β· qb-inventory v2 Β· qb-inventory legacy Β· the ESX default inventory. The ox_inventory support also covers Qbox, ESX with ox and ox_core.
Built from each vendor's docs, without a copy to test: ps Β· lj Β· Quasar Β· CodeM Supreme Β· CodeM mInventory Remake Β· Origen v2 Β· tgiann Β· C8RE Core Β· jaksam Β· One Β· JPR Β· ak47 Β· Chezza v4 Β· mf Β· BP. Any other inventory gets every file written for you to install by hand.
The only dependency is oxmysql. OneSync is recommended for the shop and bench distance check.
π― What you'll make with it
π A menu for every restaurant on your server. Each dish with its own icon, an eating or drinking animation, the food in the hand, and hunger or thirst that fills at once or over time.
π Drugs that do something, then wear off. Timed sprint speed, armour, walk style, drunk or a screen effect, each put back when the time runs out. A named modifier like work_speed lets your job script make people work faster while it runs.
π A food stand that sells your new menu. Placed with the gizmo, paid in cash, bank or an item, with stock, restock and buy-backs. A gun counter works too, with the weapons and ammo your inventory already has.
π A jeweller's bench. Two gold bars and a diamond in, a gold chain out. A lighter as the tool, never used up. A craft time and a success chance.
π Fix the items you already have. Blank icon, no use, nothing in the hand? Open it from your inventory's list, add what's missing and publish. Same name, so players keep what they hold.
β‘ How it works
- Type
/itemcreator. The editor opens over the game, with every item you made and everything your inventory already has. - Pick a template. Food, drink, drug, medical, tool, material or misc. It fills the weight, the use time and a first effect.
- Add an icon. Drop a PNG, paste one, give a link, or shoot the prop in the icon studio.
- Set the use. Time, animation, the prop in the hand, who can use it, effects and what it gives back.
- Press Test on me. The whole use runs on your character. Nothing is used up and nothing is published.
- Press Publish. The plan shows what the change costs and who is online before anything moves.
π₯ Features
- ποΈ Every item on one screen. Yours, plus a read-only list of what your inventory already has. Search, filters, bulk actions and one status per item.
- π§ͺ Test on me. Bar, animation, held prop and effects on your own character. Nothing is used up, no cooldown is set and nothing is published.
- πΌοΈ Icons five ways. Drop a PNG, paste with Ctrl V, a link the server fetches, the import folder, or the icon studio. Every icon is trimmed, squared and resized for you.
- πΈ The icon studio. The prop spawns above you, frozen, lit at noon, shot on a flat backdrop and cut out. Only you see it.
- β Prop in hand. Six sliders against the real model in your hand, with your inventory's bone and rotation order.
- β±οΈ Effects that revert. 13 types and 3 modes: instant, over time, or timed and then put back. Timed armour removes only what it gave. Relog during one and the time left comes back.
- π Who can use it. Jobs and grades, gangs on QBCore and Qbox, an ace, items they must carry, not in a vehicle, and a cooldown.
- π Gives back. Up to 20 items after use, each with its own chance. The empty can after the drink.
- π Shops. Cash, bank or an item, with stock, restock and buy-backs. Your inventory's own shop screen where that works, the LMX screen otherwise. Prices, totals and stock are worked out on the server.
- π§ Crafting benches. Up to 10 ingredients and 5 tools per recipe, a time and a chance. The same screen on every inventory.
- π¦ A Publish screen that shows the cost. Changes grouped by what they cost, players online on screen, a report of every step, and Publish at restart when you'd rather wait.
- π A safe restart. One publish at a time, files read back before anything restarts, inventories saved first, and anything that stopped with the inventory started again.
- πͺ A join gate. Joining players wait at the door while your items load. If loading fails, nobody gets in.
- π©Ί Setup. Checks your server and hands you the exact line to paste for anything that needs fixing.
- π Import and export. Bring items in from 8 file formats. Write every one back out, in every format, any time. Nothing locks you in.
- π A public API. 8 server exports and 4 events. One
GetModifiercall reads a named modifier from any script.
π¦ What a change costs
The editor shows this for every change before you publish.
| You change | What it costs |
|---|---|
| Use behaviour, effects, requirements, what it gives back, the prop, the animation, the time | Live on every inventory. Nothing restarts |
| A shop listing or a recipe | Live on every inventory |
| A new item, or its label, weight or stacking, on qb-inventory, ps, lj, Origen, One, Core and ESX 1.13+ | Live |
| A new or changed icon on qb-inventory, ps, lj or One | The inventory restarts when LMX may copy the icon into it. Without write access you copy it and restart it yourself |
| A new item, or its label, weight, stacking or icon, on ox_inventory with the item loader, Chezza, mf, and Quasar or JPR on QBCore | The inventory restarts for a few seconds. Your server keeps running and nobody is disconnected |
| The same on tgiann, CodeM Supreme, BP, Quasar on ESX, or JPR on ESX or Qbox | The inventory restarts when LMX can write into it. Otherwise you paste the file and restart it |
| The same on ESX 1.12.x, ak47_inventory or CodeM mInventory Remake | A server restart. Their own design leaves no other way, and the editor says so first |
On ox_inventory, ox clears ground drops when it restarts. The plan says so before you press the button.
π Why not edit items.lua, or switch inventories?
| Other options | LMX Item Creator |
|---|---|
| Edit items.lua by hand and hope the image shows | Build it in game, test it on yourself, publish |
| Switch to an inventory with a creator built in, and move every item over | Keep the inventory you run. 20 supported, 4 tested in game |
| A consumable script needs the item to exist first | It makes the item: name, label, weight, icon, use and effects |
| The same item kept in two places, the framework and the inventory | One source. Import what you have and export it all any time |
| A code generator hands you Lua to paste | Writes into your inventory where it may, and hands you the exact file and path where it can't |
| Icons copied into the right folder by hand | Copied in for you where LMX may write, with the path when it can't |
| Effects that never come off | Timed effects put back what they changed |
| Shops and crafting are two more scripts to buy and set up | Both in the same editor, selling and crafting the items you build there |
π¦ What's included
